What do I do now that I'm here?

Upon arriving at the ARC, be sure to sign in using the Computer Log (be sure to input all of the required information clearly). If you require the services of a tutor, approach one of the ARC staff, and he or she will direct you to the appropriate person.

What are the ARC's hours?

Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m

Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

Do I need to bring my own paper?

Yes. While the ARC is happy to provide the printer and toner, we do ask that students bring their own paper when they need to print something out. This ensures that paper is not wasted and that students only print out what they really need. If you forget to bring paper with you, it can be purchased for five cents a sheet.

Do I need an appointment?

No. While we strongly suggest that you make an appointment to guarantee that you get the help you need (especially during busy periods like midterms, portfolio due dates, and finals), the ARC encourages walk-ins.

How do I know when the right tutor is available?

While we do offer tutoring in all subjects taught at Plaza, tutoring in a particular subject may not be available at all times. Therefore, we recommend that you check the ARC schedule and tutor specialties list before coming in. Once again, we also suggest that you make an appointment, so you can be sure of getting the assistance you require.

What other services does the ARC provide?

While tutoring is our primary mission, the ARC is proud to offer many other services to our students. We offer state-of-the-art computers with full software suites and a dedicated laptop for viewing DVDs to help students stay caught up with their assignments. We are also a testing center where students can make up quizzes or tests they may have missed due to absence. Look for our grammar workshops, math workshops, and in-class presentations to supplement your Plaza experience!
